Movie Trailer:Avatar

The movie trailer for Avatar uses visuals to introduce to the viewer a new land and new creatures. There are no words throughout the trailer , but the intensity of the music builds up at the action packed scenes. The trailer uses action and the viewers curiosity to find out about this new land to draw people in to see the movie. The trailer shows alot of the made up technology that is used in the movie to spark the viewers interest. The violence of the war between the soldiers and the creatures shows that there will be alot of action throughout the movie. Showing the girl creature in the trailor , gives the viewer a sense that she may be a possible love interest for the main character. The action and struggles between man and the creatures of a made up land should make anyone want to see this movie.

  1. I believe this trailer is pretty intense and a different way to draw in the attention of viewers. While the floating islands and odd creatures are rather interesting, the trailer left me wondering what this movie was really about. I think they could have improved it by describing the plot better. None-the-less, I look forward to watching the movie.

  2. Haha I only ever saw Avatar because my friends said I had to. The trailer did not even touch on what the movie was actually about. Yet, the stunning visuals made it the hit it is. Just goes to show you hoodwinking people with original twists on a age old story can still rake in at the box office. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed it, just to many similarties between pochohantos and this movie.

  3. One element in this trailer that I find very important is the sense of mystery, unknown planet, strange creatures. Makes the audience want to find out more.

  5. When I first saw the trailer, I just flipped past it because there was no interesting audio (just "beautiful" and suspenseful music) and it looked like a generic action/adventure movie plot. The giant blue people did not do much to catch my attention, so I was inclined to skip it. I watched it and thought it was not nearly as bad as I anticipated. It's basically Pocahontas with blue people on another planet. The trailer just did not do it for me. The movie was okay.

  6. I'll see it eventually, not so much for the special effects, but for the fact that's it's destined to be a cultural icon ... somewhere there's a social message!
